CALLING ALL BRISTOL PEOPLE……TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT FOR THE IN COMMON. PHOTOGRAPHY SCREENING SHOW by IC-Visual Lab.

IT’S A FREE EVENT SO, NO EXCUSES. IT’S GOING TO BE A GOOD ONE. TONIGHT FROM 6:30PM AT EMPIRE THEATRE, 23 WEST ST, BS2 ODF, BRISTOL, U.K.

IN COMMON, is a photography screening show as part of Old Market Diaries (OMD), a community project developed by  IC- Visual Lab held in the Old Market Quarter area in Bristol.  “This project comprises a series of activities based around the theme of community, from a series of free multimedia workshops to digitising family albums and photo-shoot day, this event is a celebration of the end of OMD and we would like to invite the community to take part.”
IN COMMON, directed by IC-Visual Lab, will be composed of a number of different activities including:

– Talk by Jim Mortram

Jim will be giving a talk about how he works with his community, the ethos and the diffi culties of documenting his surroundings, and his plans for the future..

– Photography & Multimedia Screening Show. A collaboration between Erica McDonald and IC-Visual Lab

For international perspective, Erica McDonald of DEVELOP Photo will curate a selection of works from photographers who are based outside the UK.

The event will celebrate the conclusion of OLD MARKET DIARIES in collaboration with ONE GIANT ARM, bringing together members of the community, photography and media practitioners for an evening of visual story telling, food and music.
